I have managed to avoid the elephant in the room for several months, although this presidential elephant has been shitting all over the room, making it next to impossible to avoid being contaminated by his effluent, namely his manic posting on his failing website, “Truth” Social. Last night, after having played a round of golf, the elephant took to the keyboard and left us with countless videos and photos, all of which sang praises to his greatness and showered his foes with aforementioned effluent.
In my college years I volunteered at Longview Hospital in Cincinnati, playing games with patients in the maximum security ward. For several years I’ve served breakfast to the homeless in Berkeley. I have had experiences with people whose mental state is, at best, precariously balanced. Look at these images. Do they reveal anything to you?
A war he’s losing, Part 1
A war he’s losing. Part 2
Can you imagine how much JFK would have hated DJT?
Trump honors the war dead in a graph comparing how few soldiers have died under his watch than under “other presidents.” Wow! Only 18 dead? You’re a genius, Mr. Trump!
And if praising himself wasn’t enough, he has to to skewer his opponents. In this case he takes the highly respected CNN reporter, Kaitlan Collins, and puts her head on the body of an ill-conceived Bud Light commercial spokesman, a trans sexual, Dylan Mulvaney. Collins has courage. Trump has none. He criticizes her for “not smiling.” He has never criticized a male reporter for not smiling. Women are playtoys to him. Collins responded by quoting a real first lady, Eleanor Roosevelt, “Nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent.”
And to think, all this from the President of the United States, the person with all the codes to launch nuclear weapons.
